Italian Stage S115A — 15" Active PA Subwoofer

The Italian Stage S115A is a 15" active PA subwoofer that anchors small-to-medium live rigs with deep, controlled low end. A 350W RMS Class AB amplifier drives the 15" woofer inside a wooden vented enclosure, producing 128 dB peak SPL across a 20 Hz–120 Hz range. Two XLR inputs and two XLR outputs let the unit sit between a mixer and a pair of full-range tops.

Built for clean integration with tops

Unlike many entry-level subs that only pass signal through passively, this model includes a switchable 100 Hz high-pass crossover on the outputs, so connected full-range speakers receive a clean signal free of competing low frequencies. A phase switch, ground lift and line level control complete the rear-panel toolkit.

Amplifier headroom and output level

Class AB amplification handles bass-heavy programme material without obvious compression.

• RMS Power: 350 W — sustained output for typical programme material
• Peak Power: 700 W — headroom for kick drums and bass drops
• Peak SPL: 128 dB — enough for small-to-medium venues

Driver, cabinet and low-end response

The 15" low-frequency cone with a 2" voice coil moves enough air to reach down to 20 Hz, while the wooden vented cabinet shapes the upper end at 120 Hz.

• LF Cone Size: 15" — large radiating area for deep bass
• Voice Coil: 2" — handles high excursion cleanly
• Frequency Range: 20 Hz – 120 Hz — full sub-bass coverage

Inputs, outputs and signal routing

Two XLR-F inputs accept a stereo feed from a mixer; two XLR-M outputs send full-range or high-passed signal to the tops.

• Line Inputs: 2 × XLR-F — balanced stereo connection from mixer
• Line Outputs: 2 × XLR-M — feed full-range tops
• Crossover Output: FLAT or 100 Hz High-Pass — protects tops from low-frequency overlap
