La Mancha Rubinito CM — A Solid-Top Classical Guitar for Students and Hobbyists

The La Mancha Rubinito CM is a 4/4 classical guitar built around a solid Canadian cedar top and mahogany back and sides — a tonewood pairing that gives beginners a warm, responsive nylon-string voice. A Nato neck pairs with an Ovangkol fretboard and bridge, and a Nubone nut and saddle deliver stable tuning. The open-pore satin finish lets the cedar resonate freely, and the 650 mm scale with a 52 mm nut width matches the standard classical feel most teachers recommend.

What Makes This Classical Guitar Stand Out

What sets this model apart in the entry-level classical segment is the solid cedar top — most comparably priced instruments use laminated tops, so this one opens up and develops tone over time. The Ovangkol bridge is cut with a double bore that improves string break-angle over the saddle for better tonal coupling. Nickel-plated machine heads with black buttons keep tuning stable during long practice sessions, and the guitar ships ex-factory strung with Savarez Cantiga Mixed Tension 510MRJ nylon strings.

Tonewoods — The Heart of the Classical Voice

The tonewood combination is what gives this guitar its warm, immediate response.

• Top: Solid Canadian Cedar — a traditional classical top wood that produces warm, immediate response and matures with playing
• Back & Sides: Mahogany — adds midrange focus and dry, woody character that balances the cedar's warmth
• Neck: Nato — a stable, mahogany-family hardwood that resists warping under string tension

Playability — Standard Classical Dimensions

A 4/4 size with a 650 mm scale and 52 mm nut width delivers the standard classical feel that teachers expect, so fingering positions transfer directly to a more advanced instrument later.

• Scale Length: 650 mm — the standard classical scale, matching most method books and repertoire
• Nut Width: 52 mm — comfortable spacing for classical right-hand technique without feeling cramped
• Fretboard: Ovangkol — a dense, durable African hardwood that holds frets securely and transfers string energy efficiently

Hardware, Finish & Construction

The hardware and finish choices reinforce the guitar's student-friendly character and let the solid top breathe.

• Nut & Saddle: Nubone — a synthetic bone substitute that delivers clean tone and stable intonation
• Finish: Open Pore Satin — a thin, breathable coating that lets the cedar top vibrate freely
• Construction: Solid Top, No Cutaway — traditional classical body shape, ideal for the standard repertoire and seated playing posture

Who Is This Classical Guitar For?

This model is the right choice for adult beginners, younger students, and returning players who want a solid-top classical guitar without paying luthier prices. It suits first-year students because the 52 mm nut width and 650 mm scale match the standard classical setup used in most method books. Hobbyists who want a warm nylon-string sound for fingerstyle, classical repertoire, or Spanish and Latin music will appreciate the cedar/mahogany pairing. The instrument also works as a second guitar for players who already own a spruce-top classical and want a tonal alternative with a darker, rounder voice.

La Mancha — A Student-Friendly Classical Line

La Mancha guitars are developed in Germany by Reinhardt GmbH. The Rubinito series is the little sister of the Rubi and has received several awards from the European Guitar Teachers Association (EGTA). Available in multiple sizes, the line lets a student stay within the same family as they grow into a full-size instrument.
